I’m based in Massachusetts, with both the Berkshires and Cape Cod as my surroundings and inspiration, along with travel abroad over the years. Trained as an architect, I approach each new place with curiosity and close attention, looking for ways to really see and experience it. A weathered wall. The pull of the tide against a shoreline. A quiet moment on a trail. I carry these moments home through sketches, then work in the studio to capture their feeling and atmosphere through color, texture, and mark.

Finding the right balance in a working palette, one that gives me my own visual language while remaining open enough to carry the essence of each memory, is a constant focus of my work. In this way, a painting of a narrow street in an Italian village can belong to the same body of work as a barn in western Massachusetts. Each place retains its own character, while both become part of a larger, continuous exploration of memory, place, and experience.
